Project overview

This project explored two design pathways for creating a dedicated home office within a multi-bedroom apartment: converting the existing garage or repurposing one of the spare bedrooms. After conducting a spatial analysis and evaluating client priorities—such as privacy, light, storage, and long-term functionality—the garage was selected as the optimal location for the office.

Details

Key interventions included insulating and finishing the walls, polishing the concrete floors, and adding custom built-ins to enhance organization without sacrificing square footage. A neutral color palette with layered textures created a calm, inviting atmosphere, while strategic lighting—both task and ambient—ensured functionality throughout the day.
